The Recipe

My mom starting making 'The Recipe' when I was in High School.  She received the recipe from a good friend of hers.  She has been making it for us ever since.  So the tradition continues with my family.
'The Recipe' is.... an instant HotChocolate recipe.  I would say that this homemade mix is as good or even better than any you can buy at the market. I can count on one hand how many times I have purchased ready made mixes at the market and I am always disappointed.
I have given it as gifts to friends, teachers, leaders in our church, most of which ask for the 'Recipe'.
So here it is:
1 - 8 qt box powdered milk
1 - 1 lb box powdered sugar
1 - 11 oz jar coffee mate
1 - 2 lb box instant chocolate milk

mix in a large bowl - I use a whisk.  store in an air tight container.
When ready to make your hot chocolate, add 3 or 4 heaping tablespoons to a cup of hot water - top with whipped cream or mini marshmallows.
